We would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your support over the last 16 years! To date we have raised $6,395,513.00.
We could not do this without the tremendous support that we recieve from you each year.
Last year we raised $600,000.00 to assist in the development of a Colonoscopy Clinic at the Red Deer Regional Hospital.
With your support of the 17th Annual Festival of Trees, funds raised will be used to upgrade technology and enhance capacity in cardiopulmonary services at the Red Deer Regional Hospital.
This new equipment will benefit patients of all ages in a wide variety of areas including emergency, outpatient services, diagnostics and inpatient care. Cardiovascular disease is the leading cause of death in Canada (36%) and in Alberta the prevalence of cardiopulmonary disease is 3.5 %.
Locally, the majority of our hospital admissions or visits have either a lung or heart related issue and this improvement in technology will enhance the care that patients receive. Funds raised will be used to purchase resuscitation equipment, cardiac monitors, ECG machines, ventilators, and a telehealth system. This years funds will benefit a large portion of the Hospital enhancing multiple departments.
