A free family oriented Christmas themed festival and parade to kick-off the Festival of Trees and Christmas season in downtown Red Deer.

The Biggest Christmas Tree Festival includes the lighting of Red Deer's Biggest Christmas Tree along with the lighting of the Christmas lights in City Hall Park, fun kid's activities, free refreshments, live entertainment, and the Santa Clause Parade.

Please note that if the temperature is -25 with the windchill the event will be cancelled.

Volunteer Entertainers and Street Performers Needed:

We're looking for volunteer street performers and mascots to give this event a real Christmas festival feel.

Parade Information:

Last year's parade started at 6:15 and ended in City Hall Park with the Lighting of the Biggest Christmas Tree.

Parade Application & Rules

2010 Parade route. Turning Right onto 48 Ave continue heading south to Ross Street. Turn right onto Ross Street continue heading west to 49 Ave. Parade disbands at the intersection of Ross and 49th. From there all float entries must abide by regular traffic rules and regulations.
